A dental implant is a titanium screw placed in the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. The crown fitted on top restores both the appearance and the chewing function close to that of a natural tooth.
Suitability depends on the density of your jawbone and the health of your gums. Only the dentist examining you can make that assessment; the information below is general guidance.
Techniques we work with
- Conventional implant — the implant is placed, left to integrate, and the crown is fitted afterwards
- Immediate loading — where the bone allows, a temporary prosthesis can be fitted in the same session
- Bone grafting — the bone is built up before the implant when volume is insufficient
- Sinus lifting — used when bone height is insufficient in the upper back jaw
How the process works
A pre-assessment is made from your intraoral photographs and panoramic X-ray, and suitable clinic and dentist options are shared with you. On arrival in Türkiye the plan is confirmed with an examination and, where needed, a CT scan.
The implant is placed under local anaesthesia. Once integration with the bone is complete, an impression is taken at the second stage and the permanent crown is fitted.
Recovery and aftercare
Mild swelling and tenderness are normal in the first days. Following your dentist's dietary and oral care instructions speeds up healing.
Check-ups continue online after you return home, with referral to our partner clinics where needed.

- How many visits do I need for an implant?
- Most cases require two visits: the implant is placed on the first, 3–6 months are allowed for integration, and the crown is completed on the second. If your bone structure allows, protocols that can be finished in a single trip may be an option.
- Is the procedure painful?
- The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia, so you do not feel pain during it. Any tenderness afterwards is managed with the pain relief your dentist recommends.
- How long does an implant last?
- Oral hygiene, gum health and regular check-ups directly affect its lifespan. Your dentist will assess the expected duration for your own case.
