A Hollywood Smile is not a single procedure but a complete smile design that addresses the colour, size and alignment of the teeth together with the gum line. It usually combines laminate or zirconium crowns with whitening and gum contouring where needed.

The design is individual: facial proportions, lip movement and your expectations are assessed together. The final decision is made with the dentist examining you.

What it can include

  • Porcelain laminates (veneers) — front-surface aesthetics with minimal reduction
  • Zirconium crowns — a durable solution for teeth with greater loss of structure
  • Gum contouring — adjusting how much gum shows when you smile
  • Teeth whitening — to match the shade of teeth that are not being crowned

How the process works

A pre-assessment is made from your photographs and X-ray. At the clinic a digital smile design is prepared and a mock-up lets you preview the result in your own mouth beforehand.

Once you approve it, the teeth are prepared, impressions are taken and temporary crowns are fitted. At the final session the permanent restorations are bonded and fine adjustments are made if needed.

Afterwards and care

Sensitivity to hot and cold can occur in the first days and usually passes quickly. Avoiding biting hard foods and wearing a night guard if you grind your teeth protects the result.

Regular brushing, interdental cleaning and six-monthly check-ups are decisive for how long the restorations last.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the result look artificial?
A natural result comes from planning the shade and form around your own facial features. At the mock-up stage you can see the result in advance and adjust it together with your dentist.
How many teeth are treated?
It depends on how many teeth show when you smile; 8–10 per arch is common. The exact number is decided after an examination.
Will a lot of my tooth be removed?
The amount of reduction depends on the technique chosen. Laminates involve the least loss of structure; zirconium requires more. Your dentist assesses which is suitable.
