A zirconium crown uses white zirconia instead of metal as its substructure. Because it transmits light in a way close to a natural tooth, it leaves no grey shadow at the gum line, which is why it is preferred in the aesthetic zone.

How the process works
After the examination and X-ray, the teeth to be crowned are prepared and an impression is taken digitally or conventionally. The shade is chosen together with you.
The crowns produced in the laboratory are tried in first; once fit and colour are approved they are bonded permanently.
Afterwards and care
Mild sensitivity is possible in the first days. Crowns themselves do not decay, but the natural tooth and gum beneath them can, so brushing and interdental cleaning remain just as important.
Not biting on hard objects and wearing a night guard if you grind your teeth reduce the risk of fracture.
